Pure Methadone is a white crystal powder that’s usually dissolved in an orange-flavoured drink and swallowed once a day. Initially, you will drink the medication at the pharmacy but as your treatment progresses you may be able to take your daily drink at home.

Pregnant women who are addicted to opioids are able to use methadone. By combining your Methadone treatment with regular prenatal care, you’ll increase the chances of having a healthy child. There are no known long-term effects of Methadone on the baby.
