Hepatitis C is a serious liver disease caused by a virus. It is spread through blood to blood contact with an infected person. Early diagnosis is the key. The sooner you know if you have Hepatitis C, the better the chance that treatment will cure the virus. Most treatments for Hepatitis C involve taking 1-3 pills once per day for a short treatment time (8-24 weeks).
