COVID-19 OUTBREAK
COVID-19 OUTBREAK - As of June 1, 2020
In regards to COVID-19, Segue Clinic remains open for business and patients are expected to attend as usual. However, please know that Segue Clinic takes your health, and the health of its physicians and staff, very seriously. In this regard, we have implemented many successful new protocols in an effort to maintain social distancing and clinic cleanliness at all times.
PLEASE NOTE:
If your answer is "yes" to any of the following questions, please notify Segue Clinic immediately by either calling your home clinic or using the "contact us" option on this website. A physician consultation may then be avialable by telephone depending on your symptoms. You should then contact Public Health to arrange COVID-19 testing and self isolate for 14 days, as per the current Public Health guidelines.
Do you have any of the following?
1. Fever / chills
2. New cough or a cough that is getting worse
3. Difficulty breathing
4. Shortness of breath (even when sitting or walking regularly)
5. Sore throat (not due to allergies)
6. A runny or congested nose (not due to allergies)
7. Unusual level of fatigue
8. Unusual headache
9. Nausea / vomiting, diarrhea, or loss of appetite
10. Feeling unwell for an unknown reason
11. Have you been in close contact with someone who is either sick, sent for testing, or has confirmed COVID-19 in the past 14 days?
12. Have you returned from travel outside Canada in the past 14 days?
***If you are experiencing difficulty breathing, or shortness or breath, please go to your nearest emergency department or call 911.
IN AN EFFORT TO ENSURE YOUR HEALTH AND SAFETY, PLEASE FOLLOW THESE RULES:
IF YOU HAVE UPPER RESPIRATORY SYMPTOMS, please notify the clinic. DO NOT COME TO THE CLINIC. A physician consultation may be available by telephone depending on your symptoms.
PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT WE HAVE YOUR CURRENT PHONE NUMBER so that telephone consultations can occur if required.
WEARING A BARRIER OVER YOUR MOUTH AND FACE, like a scarf or bandana, is strongly recommended while visiting the clinic.
PLEASE HOLD UP YOUR HEALTH CARD FOR STAFF. Staff will not be handling health cards during the outbreak but will still need to check them.
NO LOITERING in the clinic. “In” and “out” is the goal.
WASH YOUR HANDS for 20 seconds or more.
MAINTAIN THE “6 FOOT RULE” as much as reasonably possible.
PLEASE FOLLOW THE DIRECTION OF STAFF AT ALL TIMES regarding handwashing, clinic entry, urine sampling, waiting room protocols, etc. Again, these rules are in place to protect your health.
